I had initially been commissioned by Good Weekend for a portrait of Joshua Bloom who was performing with Opera Australia at the Balgownie Estate in the Yarra Valley. The session went well and I floated the idea of capturing him and the rest of the chorus backstage and amongst the Estate’s vines. They agreed.
